The 7 Vital Resources for a Fulfilling Life

For a fulfilling life, we find ourselves chasing external wealth, accumulating possessions, achievements, and admiration. Yet, true fulfillment isn't just about what we acquire on the outside, but about nurturing our inner wealth as well. Within each of us lies seven vital resources that, when cultivated, can lead to an enriched and satisfying existence. Some these are inside of us and some outside. But a life well-lived requires us to be able to possess and access each of these resources. Let's explore them and discover how to balance creating them in our lives so that we can enjoy all that life has to offer.

1. Self-Love & Authenticity

The journey to a fulfilling life begins with self-love and authenticity. Embracing our true selves, with all our strengths and vulnerabilities, allows us to navigate life with personal authority and powerful self-esteem. Self-love isn't about narcissism or egotism; it's about acknowledging our worth, caring for our well-being, and not shrinking or compromising our values and beliefs. Authenticity is when you live the life you feel you want to live. When we live authentically, we align our actions with our true nature, making life not just livable but lovable.

2. Connection to the Divine & Inner Divinity

I'm not religious, but recognizing a connection to something greater than ourselves can provide a profound sense of peace and purpose. This resource invites us to explore our spiritual essence and the divinity within us. It's about finding harmony and guidance in the unseen, the untouchable, and the unknowable, leading to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe. When you connect to self-love and authenticity in #1, you'll begin to access your own unique connection to the divine, and that's when you'll see that the kingdom of heaven is within.

3. Health & Energy

Our meatsuit is the vessel that carries us through life's journey. Prioritizing our health and vitality is non-negotiable. Good health and abundant energy empower us to pursue our dreams and enjoy life's pleasures. Whether it's through nutrition, exercise, rest, or stress management, taking care of our physical selves is necessary for a fulfilled life. Physical health is attained through nurturing the elements of the acronym O.W.N.E.R. Oxygen - practicing deep breathing to saturate the body with oxygen, Water - remaining hydrated by drinking 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces of water each day, Nutrition - listening to your body and consuming only things that positively increase your energy, Exercise - moving your body daily to generate energy and vitality, and Restoration - getting plenty of sleep to restore your vitality each day.

4. Love & Connection

Humans are social beings. We crave deep, safe, intimate relationship with people who provide connection, encouragement, and a place for us to be fully ourselves. Our relationships with others provide love, support, growth, and joy. Strong connections, be it with family, friends, or partners, remind us that we're not alone in our journey. Cultivating these relationships and ensuring they are healthy and positive is vital for our emotional and psychological well-being. Honesty, transparency, and vulnerability in intimate relationships allow us to shed layers of expired stories, pain, and lower level emotions that allow us to step into higher levels of peace, love, and freedom.

5. Significance & Impact

Feeling that we matter and can make a difference in the world is a powerful motivator. Our desire for significance and impact drives us to pursue passions, help others, and leave a ripple behind when we expire. Humans desire a sense of significance, and we get this by knowing that our life matters. When we only live for ourselves and our own comfort, security, and pleasure, we'll never feel the significance we crave at a genetic level. Whether it's through our career, volunteer work, or simple acts of kindness, contributing to the greater good adds a layer of meaning to our existence.

6. Wealth & Freedom

Wealth creates the ability to buy back our time, and time freedom is our greatest possession. If we don't own our time, we don't own our life. Financial freedom opens a life of choices and opportunities when we have time freedom. Money enables us to experience life fully, from education and travel to leisure and philanthropy. More importantly, financial freedom grants us the autonomy to live on our terms, pursue our passions, and own our time. you don't need a reason to continually create more wealth. This world is abundant and money is the currency of abundance. The more you have, the less limitations you have in a world of infinite possibilities.

7. Peace & Fulfillment

At our core is the desire for inner peace and fulfillment. Peace and fulfillment is why we crave wealth, success, relationships, materials, etc. This resource is about embracing contentment, practicing gratitude, and surrendering to what is. True inner wealth stems from a state of inner peace, where we find satisfaction in our current existence while being open to the flow of life, and new levels of whatever comes our way. There is a mistaken belief that humans can either have peace or wealth. But I've found that the more peace and fulfillment I enjoy, the more my wealth increases as well. Peace and fulfillment comes from surrendering to the present moment and living from the power of the present moment. When you take focused action in the present moment it's power increases, and so will the results it generates.

Reflect and Rebalance

As we navigate through life, it's not uncommon to find ourselves abundant in some areas while lacking in others. The key is to take a holistic inventory of these seven vital resources, identifying where we might be experiencing scarcity or imbalance. By acknowledging where we stand, we can begin to nurture and enhance each resource, paving the way for a life that is not just successful by external measures but deeply fulfilling.

I encourage you to reflect on each of these areas: Are you operating from abundance or lack? Remember, the journey to enriching these resources is ongoing, a beautiful process of growth, discovery, and transformation. Wherever you find yourself today, know that each step towards balance brings you closer to the fulfilling life you seek.
